Does this site no offer part points? I have no points at all in cashier tab! And I did play a pot that was around 6 Euros (not a lot to some I know).

Does the rake have to be a minimum of $1 before I earn any points? I'm glad I found this site and the community seems great! But my bankroll isn't the highest right now and I can't play at stakes where a dollar will be raked that often.

London Live has been great so far ....... she says whilst lying in bed still recovering from Friday night (I'll come back to that later). I was fortunate enough to interview all the pros playing in 1A - and all but one were extremely pleasant & willing to talk (Neils interviews were stellar as always & Nik obv wanted to make extra work editing for me by starting his interview with "Ive done my b@!*%$@s"!!!).

After my work was done I thought I'd have a quick OJ in the bar before heading home to rest before I took to the tables for day B........this wasn't meant to be. Jesse May spots me &, having interviewed him earlier, states he is buying me a drink - how can I refuse? So a V&O shortly follows - then I'm joined by regular BBPers such as FalconAyr, MavPerth,Betyama,TFMonty, Niall Farrell and Peter Vasiliou (probably missed a couple off -sorry but I'm half asleep!)....and a few more "the is my last one" vodkas followed. I don't think it was anything to do with the mandy singles I had, but the sneaky double that steve dickson MADE me drink, that was to blame for playing day B with a raging hangover!!! Somehow managed tomake it past the dinner break though - so no day 2 for me (although I will be there later cheering y'all on) - just packed my wonderwoman outfit away until the next London Live.

A great weekend - great to meet you all face to face. Best of luck to those still in :-)

I know everyone has already been singing the praises of London Live but I've only just got back home and feel I have to join in. It was a fantastic weekend, would have been nice to see some cards but I did manage to hang in there for a while. Great structure.

Really good to meet all the people I did too, nice to put some faces to names, (and real names to screen names.) Massive thanks to Nik, Neil Snoopy and the whole BBP team for the organisation, and for having the time to chat and drink with us little people. Jesse May was and is a legend, was an honor to meet him.

Finally, I don't know if they read this forum but also the two guys who were doing the live feed, at least one of which was called Paul if I remember rightly, were top blokes. Stayed in the bar with them until 4am watching boxing, and nursing a poorly hobbit. Right, that's enough rambling.

Hi, guys. A simple thread, but I thought it might be interesting. Please could you post your most interesting hand from the London Live and your thoughts.

Mine was actually my exit. Blinds 200/400, 16,000 stack. I made a speculative raise to 1,050 from mid-position with K-To. BB, unknown player, called. Flop = Q-x-J rainbow. Villain (comfortable chips) checked, I bet 1.8k, he raised to something like 4.3k. I thought my stack was too small to flat, and I didn't think I had enough to get him off the turn if he led, so I decided to push. I thought I had decent fold equity, and that if he called I would have outs, including the king if he had something like A-Q. I was only really worried about A-Q and Q-J as I though J-J to A-A would raise preflop. I was wrong though - he had A-A and I bricked.

ps. I guess this is technically 'hands', but thought I'd make a Poutashi-esque ;-) exception.

150/300 I have 30k and my usual crazy image (for no particular reason this time though, I've only shown down two hands and they were both nutted)

Anyways I open HJ to 750 with 87cc, Pratik calls on the BTN and BB call. I cover everyone at this point.

Flop 833 ssc

I cbet 950 into 2.3kish, Pratik thinks for a while and makes it 2.2k or 2.4k. All fold back to me I tank for years and call.

Turn 9o chk chk

River Ts

I tank for a bit and check, Pratik bets 2.6k? I tank for a while and make it 8.5k, he tanks for 5 minutes before calling with the nut flush (he almost folded... sigh)

When hands were turned over 4 out of the 10 people on our table asked pratik why he "hollywooded" and took so long to make up his mind. Everyone was asking him why he didnt re-shove quicker and was geniunely confused, they all thought Pratik was some retard

@ Neil 2 Be fair havnt watched much of his game a little on the Late night FTP Its interesting watching him and what he has on TV compared to his Facial expresions and body language live Ye I Did Rate his Play when I faced him However I felt He was making insta shoves with the best of it at times..

Another interesting hand where I got him 2 show a card was I raised the BU again with like 8 4 OS he calls and flop come 98x I was gona make a standard C bet havin hit mid pair on a dry board prob ahead alot of the time.. However As I was gona make a bet He seemed too interestd in my bet and I opted for a chek he Prety much sighs a little and INsta SHoves on me again was tempted but after Puting him on 3 hands of a 109-A9 ima huge dog at roughly 18% J10 we r fliping and the only hand I woulda jamed against being 67 where I had him I asked you wana call Sir he said Thats not the issue here the issue is you wont call as it for over 3/4 of ur stack and you will fold I showed the 8 he seemed anoyed and showed the 9 Think Even Hugo who was on my table at the time was shock I didnt lead out..

Like I said else where tho altho I didnt get into many hands I rated Hugo's game One spot I faced UTG raised HUGO snaps 3 bets to like 30k I have JJ in the BB I wasnt worried bout UTG to be fair more Hugo I folded and UTG Insta foldded Never found out what he had............

Ian 'The Raiser' Frazer - aptly named :-) put in a standard preflop raise, he tanks then boooom ALLIN 45xbb reraise ;-) it sort of works, as I folded a pair once when I did not realise I had him comfortably covered, I should have taken a shot at a race.

Andy (Redkite) Brisland posted on 19 Mar, 6:46am
Ian Frazer's Raises just do not make any sense in the long run, sure he scares people off once or twice but sooner rather than later he runs into a big hand and goes bust. They may well work on TV short handed crapshoots, but in a deep structured tournament 40-45 bb reraise allins are just a pain.

Great structure and some great players present - not often you find such good players in such a reasonably priced comp (at my table i had Ramsey, Laurence H and Alex Rousso). So probably the best table in terms of quality of oppenent ive sat at. What suprised me most was how friendly everyone was.

How did i do - well i didnt make day 2.....but went away smiling. After all there is always another tourney.

Does anyone else notice how much of an 'art form' poker is sometimes? Esp cash poker.. Playing the right hands at the right times and only stacking someone when 2 big hands colide? Might be the drink talking (which I know dosent normally go well with poker!) But just thinking about things..Poker is a tough game in general.. you only stack sometime when you have a bigger hand than your opponenets big hand..(which can take an age to happen) and the rest of the time your generally slowly losing money? Unless your playing with a load of fish of course..but even then they suprise you and call you down with 2nd pair or worse. lol.. funny old game poker..

Hi, Ryan. If you'd have done the Grading and completed the minimum hours and stakes, you would have earned 25,500 (if not an Irish Open Package too) for around $1,500 rake. In terms of online tournaments in our shop, 25,500 gives you around $900 to $1,000 and equates to around 60-65% rakeback, but of course, the rakeback comes in the form of MTTs, London Live, etc rather than money. However, it's pretty good value, and regardless of the return, I think you'll find that everyone on the Grading will have saved a lot more money than if they hadn't done the process, myself included. These are the type of things BBP can offer, community and learning, and I think that is a valuable resource to many looking to further there game. You mustn't forget that we offer lots of value in terms of community contribution marks, Belt Bonuses at London Live, Orange Belt Academy freerolls, free tickets for Boot Camps for Greens, online tutorial subscriptions (coming soon), and more, and we have plenty planned for the future. It's really important for us a company to take a different route and offer something a little different, which is why we adopted a rewards system as well. Of course, it's not to everyone's taste, but then again, if someone wants to get a standard 30 percent rakeback deal elsewhere, then we don't stop them, and we don't try to hide the fact that these options are available, as you can see by Neil's post and the fact that the original post wasn't deleted.

My post was not in anyway meant to start a discussion about rake. I was just being light hearted.

It's horses for courses as they say, or in my case old donkey finding a friendly paddock to graze in. And i like this paddock as it offer lots of things that are different from the normal run of the mill.
