Overview

Talks by Neil Channing, Nik Persaud and special guests throughout the day, plus interactive hand analysis and group discussion tailored to improving your game. When school's out at 7pm, play in the Vic's £50 + £6 tournament for free, and put theory into practise!

The last-longer runner-up will recieve 4 Skype / Team Viewer sessions with a BBP pro. Every attendee will receive free Black Belt Poker merchandise.

Our Mentors

2008 Irish Open Champion Neil Channing is one of the most well-known and respected live players in the country, whose wealth of experience and wry commentary are well-known to poker players and enthusiasts alike. Nik Persaud has held the top spot in the European Rankings, and is equally experienced on the virtual felt. Developments in the online game mean his knowledge of poker software and advice for internet play are as useful to the up-and-coming player as his live tips.

Enrolment

Academy places are capped at 30. Places can be reserved by sending a cheque for £199 to:

Alternatively, you can purchase a seat at the Black Belt Academy with Spending Points. Select the "Live Events" -> "Black Belt Academy Token" from the Black Belt Poker shop.

Win a seat to the Academy in the monthly Orange Belt Freeroll, open to any player with a Belt level of Orange or above. Two seats guaranteed in each tournament, held at 8pm on the last Monday of every month.

Format

The Academy will alternate talks from the pros and interactive exercises focusing on poker analysis and game improvement. Then attendees join the Vic's live tournament for some real poker experience against each other and their mentors as well as the Vic regulars!
